      Re: Success!!FINALLY!!!

I wouldn't call it an answer just yet, more like possible solutions to try. I picked up some M34 today so that along with other items in my arsenal (GC+,IPA,DC1,etc.) I hope to find my answer to this problem over the weekend. From what i read over at Autogeek's forum there's more people having similar issues with the new UW and are not happy with it. We'll see what happens...

          Re: Success!!FINALLY!!!

Took the car down to bare paint and started from scratch with DC1 followed by UP with a yellow polishing pad with a 20% IPA solution wipedown between the DC1 and UP. I then performed test spots using ULW,UPW,GC+,Mothers Reflections and California Gold carnauba, one set applied on top of the UP on one side of the hood and another applied after an IPA wipedown on the other side. All 3 Meguiars LSPs smeared immediately after wipe-off and continued to smear after repeated tests up to 24 hours later. The Cali Gold was a bit old but it worked as expected. The Reflections worked perfectly as well, even with the Top Coat. I don't know what to say at this point but don't let my experience stop you from using it if you choose. Even though I've found quite a number of people who are also having issues with this product there is an overwhelming number who have had great results with it so go for it and see what happens. I guess my car and Megs LSPs just weren't meant to be. At least I can count on Megs for great defect correction...
