  • My Mazda6 meets Ultimate Liquid Wax

A few weeks ago I got my Ultimate Wax in paste form. At the time of my order from Autogeek, the liquid version wasn't available. As Murphy would have it, it became available on Autogeek about the same time my original order got delivered (not a major issue if you live in Florida - but a bit more of an issue when you're down on the southern tip of Africa). So as any good addict would, I immediately ordered it.

This weekend saw my new shipment arrive and I wasted no time in putting it to the test.

The liquid version is very easy to apply. I was able to lay down a thin even layer by hand without much effort.

What I did find a bit surprising was that the liquid version was slightly harder to buff off than the paste version. Not back breaking, but definitely not as easy.

    The results:

And for good measure, I detailed the interior while I was in the swing of things.

Looks good. I just put down a coat of paste and will remove it soon to see the end result.

For me the UW will replace the NXT for my BMW's. I will continue to use the NXT on my commuter. (99 camry)

Bit of a tricky question to answer as I don't use only one wax, and I don't currently have NXT in my arsenal as I gave my bottle to a new detailing convert to get him started. I tend to change my LSP as the mood hits and I currently alternate between M16, M26 and M21. So although I cannot say that it will replace any of my current waxes, it will definitely be an addition to the regular selection.

About 10-14 days, but this can vary depending on the moods of the customs officials. The wait is only part of the pain - it's the cost that hurts the most. As an example, the Ultimate Wax cost +-$22, but the shipping was $60. Sometimes passion overrides common sense.

The most enjoyable part is taking the new products to the local Meguiars distributor to show them what it looks like
