  • Ultimate Quick Detailer

In the anticipation to get Ultimate Wax and using Detailer's X-Press Spray Wax, I'd almost forgotten about the 1/2 bottle left of UQD on the shelf. For some reason today, after washing the car, I noticed more water spots after drying than usual. I remembered the UQD, used it and now I remember why it's also a great product. Water spots are gone and the finish is slick and smooth. It's not a wax, but it sure makes the car look great and is much quicker to apply than a spray wax.

You obviously haven't applied Ultimate Quik Wax. It is really great stuff and super easy to apply and remove, just like a spray detailer.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

My UQW has been replaced by X-Press Spray Wax. I no longer use it, but you are correct, it is a great product as well. It just isn't cost effective when you compare it to a gallon of X-Press Spray Wax.

Regarding the ultimate quil detailer, i bought one barely a month ago. at first i was a bit underwhelmed by it. TO say that it was going to be my last purchase is going a bit overboard since it does do its job well. It just seems a bit gimicky at first. The more i used it, the more i did see the tech put into this detailer. REally nice.. UQW is ultimately superior, but its 2 totally different products. I now love the UQD

          Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer

I use UQW after car washes as a wax booster and protection extending product, and UQD between car washes.

They both work great for maintenance and keep car looking sharp.

THe problem i had was trying out the UQW, so I unwittingly compared it to the UQD which is actually a dumb move on my part. UQD is nice, sure.. but its still not a wax. It does have a slightly different feel to typical detailers. So from now on, i'll reserve any comments/reviews about any product after i've used it thoroughly.

Now I hope i can get my hands on the ultimate wax. Here where i live, there is still no Ultimate wax in the stores/retailers. Its gonna be a looooonnng wait.

The X-Press Spray Wax is actually the same basic technology / foundation as in the UQW, but they has changed the color and fragrance

                Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer

UQD still has an important role to play when wanting to clear dust or remove water spots. UQW is not really designed for that, so its not really a substitute/alternative. Its a different product.

Yep, for me the UQD is just as important as the UQW. It does have a rich look for a quik detailer, and that water repelling properties is really something! I just did a quick wash (big bucket, a small bucket and microfiber as wah mitt). While it's "just a detailer", the water runs off in a methodical way. Just like the UQW/UQD training video. Its not really a "beads water relentlessly" look, honestly, but a sheeting then pushing of the water away from the car finish. Water doesn't stand or stay on the surface.. I just got myself the UQW again, but I won't use it first. At the moment, its not yet needed.
