If I did UC with medium cutting pad, should I follow swirl X with polishing pad to refine?

Or should I get M205 when I have chance?

but right now can I have a solutions for polishing?

Yes, you may follow-up UC with SwirlX, using either a polishing pad or finishing pad. Be sure to do a Test Spot first. You might try the finishing pad first and see how it looks. If the finishing pad leaves the finish LSP-ready, then you're good to go; otherwise, move up to the polishing pad and see how that works.

Ultimate Compound with a polishing pad may also give you LSP results, depending on the density of your paint.

Thus the importance of a test spot, you can dial in your process to one specific area, and if you can make one small section look good, you can duplicate this system over the entire car. Therefore, when you go and wipe your wax off and inspect the results, they'll be exactly what you were hoping for!

Remember to inspect the defects to be removed, and always...

Use the least aggressive method to get the job done...

This could be your pad, your chemical, or a combination of both.

Try maybe SwirlX with a polishing pad, then UC on a polishing pad, and then if that still isn't cutting it... (no pun intended), try the UC with a cutting pad.

see the thing is, i only have 1 of each following pad.
5.5 inch pads are HEX orange medium cutting, white polishing and black finishing.
4 inch pads are Lake conuntry orange medium cutting, white polishing and black finishing.

due to the limited pad. i cannot try out different combo because I have heard you should not mix product on pad.

but by all mean, I think I could still put UC after trying swirlX and clean it on the fly.
since UC is more aggressive and should not matter if SwirlX was on there....

is my assumption right?

FIY my first detail with my first DA is going to be a RED
1993 VW Polo, that had never been polished with machine before.
and it does look pretty bad.
it is not pink, because it is always garaged, but... it could be better!!

Correct, you should not mix products on the pad.

You're in a bind because you need more than one pad of each kind, particularly of the ones you will be using the most. I am not acquainted with non-Meguiar's pads, so cannot help you on that; but I'm sure others will chime in.

And be sure to do a TEST SPOT! Do not polish the entire car with Ultimate Compound until you have done a test spot and know that it is the right product for the job.

I think i am going with UC with medium cutting pad. and use a little lighter pressure with slow arm speed. then i can see if it is giving enough cutting power.
if not then i will do another test spot for higher pressure...

see i am not completely in blind LOL!!
