Which Applicator

Hi guys,

I was wondering which applicator is best for waxing by hand. The Soft Foam Applicator Pad or the Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pad?

Are there any differences between them, and if so when and where should I use each of them?

I like the Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pads a lot better, they a have a larger surface and they fit in my hands better than the soft foam pads. They also work better for applying wax in my opinion.

I guess the only differences between the two are the size and ones foam and the others microfiber, as for there uses, there both the same, (cleaning, polishing waxing etc..)

Yeah, just personal preference.

I think that, there should be differences between them. The fact is that,Even Coat Microfiber Applicator Pad sounds better than Soft Foam Applicator Pad.

A few bucks for a 2 pack of each, you can't go wrong trying each style to see what works best for you. I also like the foam pads for things like UP and M40 on plastic cladding, mirror covers, etc.

Foam pads for traditional wax's and microfiber for spray wax's.

I wish I could find the post but in the recent past, we were told that the MF pads were more aggressive and it's usually best to start with the foam pads to see if they are enough for your job.

I bought the MF applicator to see how it handles waxing my car.

I've read that the MF basically consists of a Foam applicator covered with the Microfiber fabric, and also that it doesn't absorve much Liquid Wax therefore wasting less material.

The Even Coat applicator is larger than most people expect it to be. They are 2-3 times the size of a standard foam applicator. I question the theory about the microfiber absorbing less than the foam. You'd have to be extremely frugal to notice any difference.
