  • Wax/Protection for Polished Rims

    Hey everyone.

I just got a used set of Centerline Convo Pro's for racing and limited street duty. I will post some pics tonight. I got them looking damn good with some Mother's Billet Polish but incase some water and **** gets on them. I was it where I can wash it off or wipe off and keep them clean.

    Whats a good Wax/Protectant.

I do have a can of Cleaner Wax from Meguiars, as well as NXT and #26 Hi-Tech.

Have seen post about people using cleaner wax. Will this be considered sufficent protection?? The Pic is Pre-Polish, had water spots and smudges the cleaned up killer.

It seems that the mass consensus is that there really isn't a wax for wheels that puts up a lasting fight(i may be wrong). Having said that, any wax u use will provide some protection and if u keep up on applying it, should yield good results. Nxt polysh leaves behind a protective coating on metals so this may be something to try. Hope this helps!

Yea, that seems the true reasoning as it has to deal with heat and grime. I will be trying NXT tonight.

Nxt will do best.... might not be saying much though.

Yea, I hear yea. I detail the car pretty much everytime it comes out. Its due for a MAJOR bath. Unfortunately the place where it gets stored has a horrendious leak in the roof.

I finished up all the rims last night and I slapped a coat of NXT on there and it does look killer.
