Lambskin is king when washing a vehicle the traditional way (soap and two grit guard filled buckets.) For ONR type washing, there is nothing better than Meguiar's Microfiber wash mitts.

From, what I heard is that MF wash mitt is good. However, it holds the dirt to good, that sometimes it hard to take it off with Grit Guard. Now, Lamb wash mitt rinses-off clean.

What about using multiple microfiber towels. Like 10 or so. Then when you are done all you have to do is throw them in the washing machine.

Will microfiber towels work well enough? Will they hold enough soap and pick up enough contaminates or is the nap too fine?

It's really dirty where I live, lots of sand on the roads.

I voted microfiber, but I do use both. Usually I use microfiber when doing a regular wash and Lambwool when I do ONR.

I got my Meguiars microfiber mitt and I simply loved it, but I am still to try the lambswool mitt so, I guess I cannot vote but, well I do recommend mine.

I just use a Microfiber rag anymore for washing - one for majority of the body and then another one for the lower ground effects, rims, wheel wells. Lambskin wash mitts although they work good I find them to be very nasty (get smelly if not maintained just right) and don't last a long time (rip/fall apart). If a Microfiber rag is good enough to be wiped all over your paint for everything else then it's good enough to be used for washing IMO. I pressure wash with a gas powered 3700PSI Troy built pressure washer so I almost never see any dirt/grime on anything I use for the wash down anyway until I start washing the rims (brake dust) and wheel wells so ordinary Microfibers works just fine for me.

I have used both and I prefer the lambswool over the MF. It's easier to clean, feels softer and I don't think it holds dirt as much as the MF one.

Used to be a lambskin fan, but not since I tried Meg's MF mitt.

I like the Meguiars microfiber mitt. I've owned two (the same pair) for about a year. It's true they don't let go of debris as easily as wool, but they are very durable. After I wash them along with my water magnets, they come out as good as new.

I perfected my technique today. Two mitts and three grit gaurded buckets.
