  • Washing before using

Is it true that new microfiber towels are better after the first wash (or two)? I heard they have to be "broken-in" so they perform better. Thanks!

    I duuno about perform better.

I certainly want to get any gunk from shipping/storage/on the shelf, etc off of them.

The Water Magnet waffle weave drying towels do seem to perform best following an initial wash, but the Supreme Shine and Ultimate Wipe polishing towels don't really require a prewash. Well, technically, the Water Magnets don't "require" a prewash either, but they do seem to benefit from it.

I agree with Murr. I do not want to take a chance that something harmful to the paint is in the supreme Shines. Therefore I like to wash them before their first use. This goes for any towel that I use.
