  • Dullness after ScratchX 2.0...

I noticed some dullness on my hood after I removed some scratches. What should I do next? Should I use SwirlX afterwards? Thanks!

Possibly. Any chance of a pic? How did you apply it?

If all you have is ScratchX 2.0 you can try gently going over the area to "back out" the amount of cut and see if that works. If that fails, try either SwirlX or something handy like good ole M80.

I applied it using my hand. Yes, I do have SwirlX to go afterwards. I wish I can show you what it looks like, but the lighting on my garage is not enough. I just noticed it when I was on WalMart last night, I was parked next to one of the light post. You won't really see it unless you look closely, right-angle and you have enough light.

Have you washed the car since applying the ScratchX? When I used it to remove a few scratches on my door, I had the same problem. It turns out what was causing it was a small amount of product left on the finish after wipe down. When I washed it and gave it a shot of UQW, it looked great.

This morning I just clayed, cleaned and waxed this area. It looks good so far.
