While at my local CarQuest yesterday, I noticed that they had a bottle of Medallion Premium Paint Protection on the shelf. This really has not really been in production since I have been into detailing. Any body ever use it? Is it worth the $23 that they were asking for it?

I've used it, I like it and you'll find that many people are/were MPPP fanatics. When I was on the phone with Mike Phillips a while ago (talking about Medallion products) he told me that when he was selling it as a Meguiar's distributor he would routinely sell enormous numbers of bottles, he said he once sold 40-something bottles at one car show.

As far is it being "worth it", who knows? Some people think M26 isn't worth it, some people think Pinnacle Souveran isn't worth it, some people think Zymol Vintage isn't worth it; there are also some people who think it is. Is it worth it to you? It is a very nice LSP and not easy to find. I would suggest you go for it, I doubt you will be disappointed.

I used it on my Explorer ovewr the summer. It was really easy to use and seemed to last for a while and had nice tight water beads when it rained. It's consistency was thin and was pretty easy to remove when dry. Not good on black plastic trim, though.

MPP was designed not to bead but to sheet off and would hold up for 90 days as opposed to 30 as with most waxes. I loved it but It could not pass new VOC specs. so much for Mirror Benz.

              Hey,

I used to use a lot of the MPPP. I remember my first bottle of it when it first came available as it even came with a Meguiar's VHS Tape! I may have the original literature leaflet for it as well...

I remember it being a pain to use. It streaked awful on dark colors no matter how little I used or how long I let it sit.

I still have the VHS tape!
