one of the "better" picture with swirls on my rear hood.
I believe there are RIDS that I could not capture.

Picture of the water mark on my rear bumper.

Swirls on the rear bumper but did not manage to capture the water mark on this below photo.

    2. Paint is too hard

Digital cameras are GREAT! But if you don't know how to get your pictures off your computer and into your messages nobody's going to ever get to see your really cool pictures.

    Hi Mike,
After careful inspection yesterday. The watermark that I thought I have remove is still there.

I would think why I am not able to remove the scratches it is most likely to be combination of no.1 and 2.

I do not have access to digital camera. The nearest is a 5 mega pix camera phone. I will try to pick up what I am working on and have it posted.

Even SwirlX must work on a small section, buff after 1 minute?

Well, sometimes I was a bit "lazy" to use my rotary and in Indonesia, once a month I must give some Wax/sealant. But before giving a wax, I want my car to have a good result even using hand.

    Thanks

Because SwirlX only made the swirl "vanish" a bit and light swirl, but deeper swirl/hologram can't leave from the paint.

    Thanks
UC is a lot more aggressive than SwirlX, this mean it will provide more cleaning or abrading power to remove some paint off your car which is how you remove swirls and scratches.

Because UX is more aggressive you might have to follow it with something less aggressive like SwirlX to get the best appearance results before applying a wax or paint sealant.

Rubbing out a clear coat by hand is more than just smearing a product onto the paint, you have to work a small section for about a minute and wipe the product off and move on to the next small section. Rubbing out a car by hand with just Ultimate Compound, if you rubbed out the ENTIRE car will take you from 2-6 hours depending upon how bad the swirls are and how good you are at rubbing out clear coats by hand.

It's kind of an art form, not just a mechanical rubbing process.

    What are you working on?

yup. I find it strange too.
Either the product has got problem.( its "peach-like" colour and is not as thick as SwirlX ) or the scratch are too deep.
I have tried to use my finger nail to feel it but it did not seems to be deep.
Anyway, I will try again this weekend.

On a side note, the SwirlX smells like washing detergent.

    yes.
I used the same technique on both UC and SwirlX for which SwirlX is successful but with limited success for UC.
I even tried applying in straight motions for UC but is not successful.
The water mark which I am able to remove looks like a typeII but I am not very sure about it.

I applied it in circular motions. With moderate pressure.

Just to add. For the SwirlX, it works well removing the swirls.
You could feel the surface smoothen once the Swirls are remove.
After working for about 15secs, you can feel that the swirls are slowly being removed.

I think my foam applicators were too soft to remove the scratch.
well at least I manage to remove 1 light scratch. Now for the hard part.
To get the technique right to remove swirls.
