  • Water Magnet towels

Are there two different Water Magnet
towels or at least an old one and an
    improved one?
    I purchased one a week
ago from a local retailer and it was in
one style of package (shorter package
same size towel) and yesterday I picked
up another one from them and it was in
a longer style package. When I opened
up the one from yesterday it had a black
trim to it that I did not notice on the towel
from last week. I don't have the one from
last week to look at right now as I am on
vacation and left it at my girlfriends house.

The thing I noticed the most was that the
one I purchased yesterday did not pick up
anywhere near as much water as the one
    from last week. Any Ideas?

It also sounded like it had a tag attached
as I dragged the towel along the car even
tough I had removed the tag and folded
the towel so that the tag was up away from
    the finish.

I know there was one in the past that had black stitching around it, now they do not.

      Yes.
The older one, would have black satin trim.

Ok, I knew that I hadn't seen the black satin trim on the first
one I purchased. The one without the trim definitely dries
better. The trim sounds like it is scratching the paint as
you dry. Sounds like a paper tag on the towel being dragged
along the paint. Thanks guys. When I was buying it I was
wondering why the packaging was different. Now I know.
Wish I could exchange it for one of the newer ones.

Doesn't hurt to ask. Especially if you point out to them exactly what you said about the older WM scratching your finish.

Did you wash the old one before or since you used it. It could have picked up a bunch of dirt sitting on the shelf for such a long time. Which would result in the scratching sound you heard.
