Can the deep crystal steps 1 & 2 be applied with a
Porter Cable dual action buffer. If so what type of pads
would I need? I plan to finish the car with NXT.

    thanks
    Frank

I was thinking I had seen Mike maybe mention that the polishing pad was the best idea for NXT application?

          deep crystal & buffer

          Hi

Thanks for the input!! I don't have the Meguiar pads. I purchased
my buffer from Proper Auto Care and have their pads. They do have a reference chart and I have their pads that cross reference
to the Meguiar pads. Hope to recieve my product on Monday
and hope for good weather on the weekend of the 20th.
I have been impressed by the comments about Meguiars products
on the forums and the prices are reasonable compared to some
of the other brands on the market.

          thanks
          frank

I like to use the red cutting pad with DCPC myself...On the 5 setting.

              deep crystal and buffer

              Hi

One thing I fogot to ask, what speed do you recomend
with the Porter cable dual action buffer for the deep crystal
and for applying the NXT wax?

              Thanks

                Hi Frank,

For the Deep Crystal Step 1 Paint Cleaner and the Deep Crystal Step 2 Polish and the NXT Tech Wax, you can use a range of settings from the 2.0 to the 4.0, whatever feels more comfortable for you.

For the paint cleaner, you should probably use the higher setting however for better cleaning action.

I agree with Mike...I find that using a setting of 5 on the PC will work the product in well...DCPC will not dry out too quickly, thus allowing you to work on a section for a good minute or two...But I don't buff it dry.

I like to spread the product out on 4 1/2 speed, then change the setting to 5...(This will help reduce the possibility of sling).
