Re: NXT and Gold Class (Layering)

I have used NXT 2.0, 2 layers at least 12 hours apart, and have loved the results. The last thing I have tried is NXT 2.0 toped with GC, it seems to give a deeper gloss, but who knows, it might just be that I want to see a difference. Both are, IMO, great and you can"t go wrong with either. By the way I did this on a Crystal Red car.

Re: NXT and Gold Class (Layering)

I have topped NXT/2.0 with Pinnacle SSII since the SSII has made the metallic flake "pop" the most to my eyes on my Sebring Silver Metallic C5 and provides the wettest look I have seen. The solid polymer sealing characteristics of the NXT and the visual liquidity of the SSII are a great combo IMHO.

Layering itself is not really debateable since many layer the same LSP in successive coats. Layering a carnauba over a sealant can cause endless hours of debate but I've found it works well for me and acheives the visual results I'm looking for. I wax my car often enough that the longevity between synthetic sealants versus carnauba waxes just isn't an issue for me. In addition, the true "wipe on/wipe off" application of the SSII makes the second step a breeze...
