  • A Economical Meg's Spray Detailer

    Hi all!

just wondering if any1 knows a megs eco spray detailer specifically for claying?

here in aust a bottle of classic quik detailer is $15 for 473ml. now not saying im broke or anything, but is there anything else i can use that is cheaper and also effective?

Lately i have been using water as a substitute with the megs clay and it doesnt work as well, bonded contaminants are removed, however, the finishing surface (before & after waxing) is not as sleek and smooth, even if you apply LSPs like UQD or Speed Detailer. The shine is there, however the showcar feel isnt.

A 3.8Litre Last Touch from the detailer line is $50, so is that a advisable sub for quik detailer? Cost wise its $6.25 per 473ml instead of $15.

Cars here require claying @ least fortnightly, even if maintained properly. All you need to do is park under a small tree, or a bloody plant even, and you'll have treesap, heavy pollutants and oil. Most cities have 4 seasons in 1 day.

Last Touch is a fantastic clay lube, and better yet- you are supposed to dilute it 1:1 with water when using it as a clay lube. I use it full strength as a detailer.

I second LT diluted 1:1, works well as a clay lube.

Just to add, Last Touch is even a great spray detailer at 1:1. I usually get streaks if I use it straight.

Yep, for last touch it would be 1 ratio solution to 1 water (I like using distilled water). So that would make it even cheaper for you to consider that.

I also use it as a detailer diluted maybe 3 to 1, probably work ok 1:1 as detailer too as another post mentioned.

              Pretty good stuff.

Prices sure are high for you there. Sorry to hear that.

When out of QD, I've had good luck with Gold Class soap and water.

Last Touch diluted 1.1 works just as good as a detailingspray as it does undiluted in my experience !

I agree, Last Touch is the way to go as a clay lube. It also is a very good qd.
