Def picking this up for our 98 accords lights. 1998, 210,000 miles, its a wonder that light actually emits from the headlights. This seems easier than sanding and polishing with a rotary.

There is a guy at my work that is the perfect customer for this. His mechanic wanted to charge him $60 to do the work. I mentioned PlastX to him. But, I just emailed him a link to this thread.

I'd certainly be interested in the polishing pad.

Is this one of the first 3M - Meguiar's great products to come? I noticed 3M has something very similar to this out already.

PPPSSSSS (quietly) I would rather buy Meguiar's packaging but that's just me.

Top idea. One of my friends headlights are hazy and trying to convince and explain to him to buy a variety of products for different surfaces and jobs is hard. Seeing it in a kit form on a retail shelf makes it a lot easier for customers to choose the correct product for their needs.
Terrific marketing! You need to come up with more kits like this.

I think this is a great idea and meguiars should have more kits out like this.

Only problem is now I've got to wait before I can go buy a couple boxes

Also are we going to be able to go in a wal-mart or some other auto discount store to buy just the fine clay by itself without having to buy the smooth surface clay kit,(don't get me wrong, do buy the kit for the clay and the micro-fiber towels-but I've got way too many of the little sample bottles of cleaner/wax) I remember back in the late 90's when I would buy the clay in a little small box and then it just disappeared off the shelf?

Seen that meguiars is selling just a single clay bar in a black box now like the one in the smooth surface clay kit but there going to be saling else where right?

Very cool. You do not see a lot of those types of products on the shelves of the parts stores locally. Im sure it will be a good thing for the market.

    Just to note...

A huge majority of car owners don't hang out on discussion forums nor do they shop online for their car care products. What they do is go to their local auto parts store and look for solutions to their problems at a retail level, so the introduction of this new kit is going to help a lot of people restore clarity to their headlights instead of buying new ones or driving with decreasing levels of light illuminating the road at night and that's a good thing.

Our Headlight & Clear Plastic Restoration Kit utilizes a specialized pad that was designed by our R & D staff to work specifically with a drill & PlastX on rigid clear plastics.

In addition, our kit also comes with a microfiber towel
