Update - satisfaction? I think so...

Well.... Here goes the "after" thread....

    The car:
    1991 volkswagen Corrado

    Paint Condition:
pretty bad, lots of swirls, holograms, some painted surfaces(door, roof), some water spots, basicly-everything that is wrong , the car lost it's shine and gloss, plus I didn't wash it from August 2007 when I started my project.

    Material:
    NXT car wash
    Clay kit+Quick detailer
    ScratchX
    Deep crystal polish
    NXT 2.0 wax
    Ultimate quick detailer
    +
A pair of even coat aplicators, wash mitt, a three pack of supreme shine and a water-
    magnet towel..

    My impression:
The NXT car wash and the quick detailer along with the clay bar are simply amazing...It was amazing feeling the surface before and after the clay.
I washed the car, clay all over the car, then scratchx,dc polish and then one thin coat of nxt 2.0 wax.

I got very disappointed the way scratchx worked (or didn't work)....
I still have those swirl especially on the hood, I WORKED the product real hard-3 times, followed by dc polish, and nothing....
I know those swirls can be removed and it's drivin' me crazy.

As for the wax, It was nearly 40 deg today so I worked in the garage with a ventilator so the car was cool and in the shade, but the wax dried in 10 min,(I did the swipe test)
I did only one thin coat, I didn't know how much to wait before the second coat, Ill just do it tomorrow...

Anyway, if we forget about swirls for one second, I must thank meguiars and admit that the products are simply amazing, car got it's gloss and shine again, I never knew this is how the dark purple should look like.
I won't let go of the swirls, I'm gonna order a DA and fight them
(There's no way i'm repainting the whole car, it's kinda ok)

      Re: what comes first?

Wow! Great improvement. I'm sure if you get the G110 (or is it the G220 in Israel) plus #80 & #83, you'll knock out those swirls.

I've seen many Corrado's but NEVER that color. Really cool.

I agree. Huge improvement. The car looks so much better. Great work way to go.

          Re: what comes first?

          I don't understand something.
Take a look at the 2nd and 3rd pictures i've posted, the picture reflects in the surface is not clear, is this something I can fix? or is it due to lame paint job like I think...?
          Thanks
