I was just wondering what is a good indicator to reapply the tech wax. I know there are lots of factors that can affect how long it can protect the car. But are there any indicators when its time to rewax the car again. I plan to use the booster wax as well to prolong the protection. Is beading only a good indicator when the protection is still there?

When to reapply the tech wax?

Good question.
A simple method Meguiar's teaches to check for existing protection on the surface of your car's finish is the Squeak Test
To use the Squeak Test to determine if your car’s finish needs wax. Fold a clean, 100% cotton towel in such a way as to create a ball, and then spin and twist this against your car's finish. If you hear a squeaking noise, this is a good indicator that your wax has worn off, and you need to reapply a new coating of wax.
If the towel spins against your cars finish easily and makes no squeaking noise, this is a pretty good indicator that protection is still present.
Hope this helps...

I use the 'towel spin test' after every car detailing to show my customers that their vehicle now has plenty of protection. Most customers cannot believe how slippery the surface is after a fresh coat wax. I have actually had customers spin the towel and watch as the towel goes flying off the hood.FRANK CANNA
