Re: Opinion?
What kind of paint are you working on? clear or single stage? old or new? Both #81 and #7 are great polishes. Here is a quote from member Kevin Brown on another post and i fully agree with his opinion on the polishes.
BEST polish by hand:
M81 Hand Polish-
• For basecoat/clearcoat, newer technology single-stage paints.
• For pretty dialed-in paint, meaning, only mildly oxidized.
M07 Show Car Glaze-
• For older single-stage paints and/or heavily oxidized paints.
In a side by side comparison of these two polishes, on a metallic paint:
M80 Hand Polish will compliment the 'flakes'... M07 will simulate darkening/wetting of the paint color.""Some of us will do our jobs well and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing - the result." - Vince Lombardi

Re: Opinion?
By the time you wipe off the wax you won't see a visible difference between either of the two products.
M81 Hand Polish will tend to be easier to use.
M07 Show Car Glaze will tend to be easier to find in an auto parts store.
M81 comes in quarts, no 16 ounce bottles
M07 comes in 16 ounce bottles
If you know where your local PBE store is they will have both and if they don't have one or the other in stock they can order it for you.
You could always go with one to start with and then down the road try the other and compare your experiences.

Re: Opinion?
Just to note, when used correctly M07 is actually easy to use, it has a reputation of being difficult to wipe off because in most cases people think like this,
If a little is good... more is better...
This is true of my bank account and when it comes to gas in my gas tank, but never true when applying paint care products to paint.
If you consider your skill level high when working by hand then either would be a great choice, if you consider yourself more on the Newbie side then go with M81.
Remember to apply thin coats, working small sections at a time. Don't ever let any pure polish dry, instead work the product thoroughly over the finish and then immediately wipe off the excess residue and move on till you've gone all the way around the car. Don't worry about getting each little trace smear of product off the car, just get most of it off and then apply your choice of wax or paint sealant. Now this product, do let it dry before wiping it off.

Re: Opinion?
Well i always use #7 on my cars with great results but Mike is right #81 does seem to be a little eaiser to work with but i use #7 because its easy to find and i use alot of it and like Mike said by the time your done you cant see a difference. Just remember to stick to small sections at a time about 12" X 12" in the shade and on a cool surface and dont let the product dry, just work it in and remove with a clean microfiber""Some of us will do our jobs well and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing - the result." - Vince Lombardi
