  • Which spray wax?

I usually wash and apply NXT wax paste and it turns out great

Alternate washes I find after a wash it needs abit of a touch up and depending on how long, I might even wax again every 3-4 weeks, but instead would it be better to use one of the Meguiars spray waxes after a wash? or QD?

In Australia we don't have the NXT spray wax only the NXT speed detailer, also have the normal QD and normal spray wax....I was thinking I would need the normal spray wax?

The regular spray wax and QD are fine to use with Nxt. I don't thing they give quite the same look, but not to far off, and certainly worth trying. The Nxt srpay wax being synthetic, and the regular Spra yWax having some carnuba. Esp having some QD on hand is always good, for bird droppings, hard water drops, etc.

Ahh so the NXT wax spray and quick canuba wax spray is actualy the same process to apply wax as normal? I thought they were sorta quick as in spray and wipe.....

Basically after I wash it doesnt have that same shine as being freshly waxed....would some QD spray after a wash be a waste? I noticed the QD gives abit of a shine?

        Re: Which spray wax?

Spray waxes are not like a regular coat of wax. It is meant to be a quick touch-up that also adds a little protection back. The qd sprays will not add protection back. But both add shine after washing, thats for sure.

Some people find the spray waxes very beneficial, and very quick to use. Others, esp with small cars, dont find as big of a time savings.

So you have to look at it as:
The QD wipes on and off, gives shine but no protection.
The spray wax has to be applied and then buffed off, gives shine, but a little protection also.

Thanks, I think what I am after is the QD possibly the NXT speed detailer for a quick shine after a wash. If I need to pretty much apply the spray wax as normal I may aswell apply the proper NXT wax paste, but this is for times when i dont wanna do that, thanks for clearing up

The NXT Speed Detailer is good enough that you should not have to use the Spray Booster Wax very often. If you are in area with high heat and humidity, you will probably find it easier to just reapply the NXT Paste Wax, which IMHO is more user friendly than the liquid or spray. In cooler weather, the Spray Booster Wax is easier to use, with less streaking during wipe-off.

Also, keep in mind that the Speed Detailer does provide some protection.

              Re: Which spray wax?

I'm wondering about this actually. I used to think spray waxes were good for a touch up in between and so on. I've never used one until last week and with NXT I found the results outstanding. This seems to me to be a whole different class of product than the liquid, and by different I mean amazingly better. I did spray the **** out of my car with it though so maybe that has something to do with it I dunno. I haven't read any real raves about it on here though so I wonder if other folks have had the same experience, and if anyone has tried using it as a wax longer term. In the mean time I'll keep you informed how this mad experiment goes as I'll be using it again today and see what round 2 brings
