  • Does NXT Tech Wax Protect?

In a word, yes! Every time a bird has dumped on my car, the Tech Wax has effectively resisted etching the paint. The ultimate test came this morning. A bird dumped on my car yesterday, and somehow I missed that and did not clean it off. I noticed it on the roof of my car this morning. Only this time it was the purple variant, which from past experience is most likely to etch the paint. It has been in the 80° range which further increases the likelihood of etching. I got some FD and cleaned it off expecting to see swirls from my efforts and etch marks underneath that. But there was NO etching and no swirl marks. The NXT came through once again.
So yes, NXT Tech Wax does protect, and appears to do so very well. And the NXT appears to reduce bird etching better than MPPP.

I had a bird dump on my roof while I was at work. Of course it was about 80* & sunny as hell, so the stuff really had a chance to bake into the paint. When I got home I hosed it off & took a wet wash mitt, wiped down the area, then rinsed it with the hose...not a single mark had been left on the finish

The NXT leaves a nice barrier from the elements - i use the Cal-Duster everyday and all the dust and pollen come right off as well as the dirt that gets thrown up from the tires.
