  • Wish it dried blue....(white car owner)

I have a 2006 RAV4 V6 Limited 4X4 a wife and 3 girls. The new car is about the only guy sanctuary left for me. Anyway the only reason I mention it is because you will understand why I would want ( I know better) to spend time hand waxing a dozen layers on my car.

I bought NXT Tech Wax (liquid) and some Gold CLass Liquid Car Wax ( Clear Coat). My intention is to put NXT twice but 12 hrs apart and then top it off by a healthy coat of Gold Class.

The issue is my RAV4 paint is Blizzard Pearl White with a Clear Coat. It really looks amazing and reflects all different colors in the sun. Sort of a metallic white, think expensive pearl sparkles.

It's difficult at best to make sure you coat everything with a white wax and when it dries to a white haze its also slightly difficult to insure you removed everything.

I wish it would dry to a blue haze or something. Just a wish.

Sometimes I too wish for a colored wax for my white car. When I got the black one, it felt so easier to wax since I didn't have to look from every angle to see if I missed a spot.

The first wax I ever used dried pale blue, the name was Blue Diamond. It was easier to work with on white, but gave much less interesting results than the clear NXT !

I use Poorboy Natty's Paste Wax as a LSP. It's blue in color and works pretty good.
