Topping NXT

Can I put a coat of Deep Crystal Polish on top of NXT Tech Wax?
Will this improve shine / durability ?

Hi manueljlg,

I don't think the Deep Crystal Polish will increase any of the results the Tech Wax will create, but you can try.

If you do decide to try topping Tech Wax, or any wax, then if possible, only apply to one half the hood or deck lid and then inspect under both bright sunlight and bright artificial light before applying to the entire car.

Yes, that would be fine...Others have tried this with different waxes as well.

The carnauba topper can certainly be utilized with NXT. In fact, my personal preference is to top NXT with a quality carnauba like Meguiar's #26.

In my opinion, it adds just a little more depth on my particular color vehicle plus, naturally, I'm adding additional protection. It's all a matter of playing around with it... some like the look of NXT alone on certain colors and some have grown fond of a topper like Step #3 or #26 seems to add a touch more 'pop'. It's all in the eyes of the beholder so, the best thing to do is to experiment with it either way and let us know what you think!

Hey,

There is no reason why you could not put a carnauba on top of the NXT, but I am not sure why you would want to. I have found that NXT offers the warmth, reflectiveness and gloss similar to my usual Polymer Sealant #20, topped with #26, combo. I have tried many many combinations, and still prefer the look of NXT on its own.

Just IMHO!!

I tried this a week or so ago (Deep Crystal Carnuba over top of NXT) and I preferred the NXT alone better than topped.

I tried NXT last weekend on top of #82 with a PC ( first time ) and the outcome was great. It really doesn´t need any other product.
