I'll probably never get to this point. I do a complete job every 4 to 6 weeks. I usually do a couple of touch ups in between with Eagle One's Wax as You Dry. I always use Final Detail following a wash, wax and often in between.

What are you trying to test it for? I'd think that whatever your normal regimine is would be your test. If it satisfies your needs, then that's about as fair a test as you should really care about.

Since you asked let me explain myself seems some people on other site tried this product one day and then post saying how good the product look or it didn't live up[HOW COULD THEY SAY THAT WITHOUT TESTING]

NOW my point if your going to test a product it should be a Fair test that all so I have done just that with a hood I bought and got painted back in november I'm giong to test NXT by itself and with some other products [polish & toppers]

What Meguiars & Mr Phillips have done with this product is OUTSTANDING but lets face it for TESTING you need a time period that ALL I WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT how long will this product LAST

          White Honda,

There are so many varaibles when testing a product for durability, that it's next to impossible to measure. What would be the right test enviroment............ certainly not a lab? Should it be a garage kept car............ a daily driver........ how well was it preped, or what was it preped with......... and so on?

Anyhow, I think your question is a good question, just tough to answer. The feedback will start coming in a month or two. Then, it will be a matter of sorting it all out.

          Just my 2 cents.

Like Boss mentioned, it's simply tough to tell at this point in time... I think the jury is out on the longevity as we have yet to really see it in various environmental situations versus that of the competition's products in the same environments...

We will see in due time...

I would make a lousy tester on the durability of any wax/sealant product. I just can't stand to go very long between applications. It's not that my vehicle needs it, I need it. This hobby keeps me sane.

Boss & RP are right however I think it goes even a step beyond what has been said. Unfortunately the only way you can make a direct comparison and test one product against another is to apply both products under identical circumstances. Most people wouldn't consider for instance doing half and half on a vehicle for an extended period of time. I'm sure the manufacturers do this kind of testing particularly within their own product lines. The result of real world tests are also very much in the eye of the beholder. That's why people have a favorite product.

Excellent point Gearhead. Opinions are like... well, you know the saying.

It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

I know I've tried products like Zaino and others and have come back impressed but simply not blown away like so many people seem to have been. On the other side of that coin, I've tried products that I thought were the Holy Trinity only to recieve lack-luster reviews from someone else.

It's been somewhat of a short 'detailing journey' for me at this point but, so far, I've never been far from my Meg's products and seem to always come back... it's hard to beat a tried and true company like Meguiar's.

They are all right... What do YOU want the NXT to do? Do you want it to replace all the steps and become the ultimate one-step?

Do you want it as your LSP and do nothing but protect?

A FAIR test is one that's conducted under the circumstances that YOU are going to subject the car to.

There are just too many variables. How NXT will work for me, how it works for Mike P., or how it works for ANYONE else can ONLY be used as a guide. Our results are not a set in stone guarantee of how it will work for you, only you can figure that out by trying it yourself
