APC / De-Greaser

It seems like APC can be used for darn near everything, but based on the descriptions in the E-Store, it sounds like APC is meant mostly for the interior. And I already have the Heavy Duty Fabric Cleaner, so wouldnt want to double up.

Would it be best to use the APC, or something like the Safe De-Greaser or Super Degreaser for wheelwells, underbody spraying, etc? I dont really spray the engine compartment, just wiping it down really. Dont seem to see the De-greasers mentioned as around the forum.

Incidently I have been using Simple Green so far, with good results. But why not go all Meguiars...

APC is also a degrease and can be used as such in other areas besides interiors. The copy for the product is probably just limited by the information on the Tech or App bulletin which also is limited because of duplicity with other degreasers in the line.

I use the new APC for cleaning just about everything... I like it for it's versatility...

Is the APC a bit milder of a degreaser then if it is safe for everything? And the other ones are too strong to be as versatile?

For wheel wells I've been using Super Degreaser. I know it is not recommended for this, but I am careful to protect both the wheel and the paint from overspray. It does a good job of breaking down caked on road film and some stuff that I would normally have to scrub for hours to completely remove. I use APC for just about everything else. Perhaps one of the best uses is as a bug-splatter/tar/sap remover at 20:1 berfore your wash. Just be sure to rewax the areas that you used it on.

Yes, no and yes.

1. The APC is a milder degreaser.
2. It's safe for any recommended surface at the recommended dilution level
3. Yes and no, again they are safe for any recommended surface at the recommended dilution level


This is why these products are in the Professional Line, they require a Professional approach in order to use them appropriately which includes training and education.
