  • M27 Shelf Life

What's the shelf life of M27? I have a bottle that's 3 yrs old and haven't used it in like 2 yrs. Clayed and polished my car today and went to grab the M27 and it was basically completely liquid. Had a purple tint but liquid. Bottle was kept in garage the whole time. Summer temps maybe reached 78 F at most inside garage. The M205 I used to polish is probably 6 or 7 yrs old and has maintained its lotion like consistency just fine. Does the ceramic sealant break down over time? I loved the M27 but if it doesn't last I'll probably convert to the new M888 ceramic coating. Anyone else experience M27 turning to liquid?

I have a bottle of M27 probably older than that, I have used it every summer. I do shake it up very hard to mix it up, both randomly and when using it. It has always been kept in the house though. It's lotion like... but liquid lotion. It still peeforms like the first day I used it, same smell, experience, crazy water beading and runoff. I really like M27. Try it on a panel and see how it performs.

Kinda crazy, but I shake my ULW really well every Friday. Matter of fact, all my liquid products get shaken every Friday. Living the dream….

Yep, I make a habit of going into the cabinet and shaking all products up vigorously. But maybe every month or 2. Great minds think alike Franco!
In my head I am hoping the shakeup prolongs the life of the products. Paid good money, whats a maintanence shakeup every once in awhile.

Are you guys talking about ceramic products specifically that you're shaking up regularly? I've never had a problem with the non ceramic products. Wondering if the ceramic products aren't as stable.

No, I shake up all my products, waxes, sealants, polishes, compounds, microfiber soap, etc etc. List goes on and on. Years ago I had the odd product go flat, or bad I suppose. I even have a bottle of Paint Protect fairly old, guess when I first came out. The liquid inside looks kinda red with the clearish bottle, well no matter how hard I shake it, there is red residue at the bottom. Been shakin all I got since I just have a notion in my head if the products stay mixed maybe it will give them solid life for longer. I will admit I have only ever tossed out a very few products in my life. I like to get use out of the things I purchase.

Same here. I think I’ll cut back to every other Friday. As Jerry Lee Lewis said “Whole lotta shakin going on “….
