  • #81 ???

Anybody have any experience with #81? What is it comparable to and how good is it? What type of applications would it be used for? Any info would be appreciated. I just haven't heard much about it, and I am considering using it as a polish before waxing.

I havent used it, but from what ive read in other posts its an excellent polish and easy to use. I hear that it is much easier to remove than #7 and great for polishing before waxing.

        Hey,
I have used it and its a very good polish, it also fills fine scratches that just don't seem to come out. I would not let it sit long though. It can be hard to get off. Do one panel at a time and big panels in half. It has no abrasive properties so theres no need to work it a long time, mostly just put it on and wipe it off. Let us know what you think.

          using # 81

this is an excellent site to ask this question. go to the "SEARCH" icon and type in "using # 81" and you will find out all you ever wanted to know about it. ditto for any of the other products.

Think of it as a "user friendly" #7. It wipes on and off just like a wax. There's no repeated wiping like #7. I use #81 a panel at a time, and don't do the whole vehicle like I do with #7. If you have anything worse than minor swirls, you may want to use an abrasive product (#80,82,etc) as #81 has no abrasives. Following #81 with a wax makes the paint look very liquid.

              As showtime said,

M81 Hand Polish is a pure polish very similar to M07 Show Car Glaze but easier to remove. It is completely non-abrasive and a perfect way to prepare paint for wax or you can stop after the M81 and enjoy the deep, wet-look shine.

I like #81 as well very easy to use just don't over do it and remove it while its wet as other have pointed out. Great polish really adds depth to my black truck. Get it!

                      Thanks for catching this Tim!

                      Why do people do this?

It's also interesting to see people ask a question here and then go post the same question on another forum? One thing for sure, we stand behind our products... and our answers!

People do it because you have too many forums. I placed this post originally in the Professional Line, the logical place, and had no hits. So it was then placed in Detailing 101, and someone actually responded to it. Some forums just have more traffic.

I apologize, but you guys don't have to be so snooty about it. I won't do it again.

One thing I like to do when no one is responding to my question is to post again in the same thread, and type "Bump"......This will bump up the thread so everyone will see it again, and maybe those that missed it as well.

I tend to agree, but I noticed that it is rated as a 1 on the abrasive scale, while #7 is rated as a non abrasive zero.

Does that mean that #81 has some cleaners in it?

I've got a question that I'd like cleared up.

People always say you can't put a sealant over something with oil/fillers in it. But reading some other posts, Megiuars products are designed to work together. So does that mean I can put #21 over #81?
