tire dressing concerns

ok...i'm having some concerns here. i have a detailer who is not happy with the professional detailer tire dressing offered here in canada. he says it washes off after one rain. i haven't tried myself yet, so i can't comment. unfortunately, the numbering system in canada seems to be different from what you have in the states, so i can't really search for the correct product info in the forums here.

has anybody come across any issues with this product, and what have they done to correct it?

Hi Gary,

The Detailer Series of products in Canada is not the same as the Detailer Series in the US. For tires, my preference has to go to the US version of the All Season Dressing D-16001. As far as I know, there is not an equivalent in the Canadian series. ( I will try and find my Canadian Meg's Catalog).

Another choice is to use Meg's Gold Class Endurance which is available in Canada. It too works very well!!!

i dont know any canadian stuff, but what i use for my tires and what works well is armor-all. but it isnt the regular stuff. this stuff is in a clear bottle, and its not really liquid like the original stuff. this is more oily/gelly than the original, plus it is clear.

2hot - endurance would be nice, except that this is a new car dealer selling close to 100 cars a month. consumer products aren't really cost effective.

all season dressing

my buddy who works for a small car dealership only uses the all season dressing on the plastics and the tires. He swears by it and I have used it on many occassions (he won't give me a bottle!!) when I go visit him and love it. It comes in a gallon size so I think this would be your most cost effective route. IMHO

sorry, i forgot i posted this here. here's the poop. the canadian professional "tire dressing" (m7720) is a water based dressing, that is probably more suited to an interior dressing. the "vinyl/rubber dressing" (m7520) is solvent/silicone based. unfortunately, the price point is almost 40% more expensive than other pro brands and i've had to use those for my dealership customers.
