Would it be a good idea to use fine cut cleaner as my paint cleaner once a year or will it remove too much clear using it that often? Probably a stupid question but I want to make sure.

Re: Fine Cut Cleaner
You are working by hand/machine? Just trying to give the paint a good cleaning once in a while?
The Fine Cut Cleaner would certainly be safe for once a year use.
However, there are likely better products to look at. SwrilX and Ult Polish come to mind, or #205 if you wanted something in the Pro Line.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Fine Cut Cleaner
Its not that it is 'no better'... but if you are just thinking of a mild cleaner to use every so often, then Ult. Polish would be good as it has a mild cleaning ability already.
If you have some mild defects to fix up, then we could look at something else.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Fine Cut Cleaner
Fine Cut Cleaner is quite a bit more aggressive than Ultimate Polish, but if you're using it by hand than you're not being terribly aggressive anyway so it's not like you'd be pulling much paint at all with it. Fine Cut is also a diminishing abrasive so it's important to work it completely in order to fully break down the abrasive particles, which you don't really need to do with Ultimate Polish.
If you're doing an excellent job of maintaining your finish during the year, and not seeing much of anything as far as defects go, then UP (or even M205) is probably a better choice for a modern clear coat finish.Michael Stoops
