M105 is heavy cut
M205 is more like a mild cut with a nice finish
M105 could be described as a corrective compound, seeing as it is one of the heaviest clear coat safe polishes on the market today.
A finishing wax is something you would want to apply after you perform paint correction.

I would say that their level of aggressiveness is quite similar. The m105 can be compared to the d300 correction compound. Both of these products have a lot of cut to remove swirls and imperfections in the paint. On the other hand, the m205 can be compared to the finishing wax. Both of these products are follow ups for their corresponding compounds in order to remove some micro marring that the compounds have left. In addition, it amplifies the gloss of the paint. The finishing wax has an added benefit of leaving some protection behind hence the "wax" in the name. The major difference is that the m105/m205 combo are primarily used with the traditional foam or wool pad using any type of tool (d/a, rotary, flex 3401). The d300 correction compound and the d301 finishing wax are designed tO be used with a d/a and microtones pads only.
M105 Ultra Cut Compound is the most aggressive compound we make. It's initial design intent is for rotary use with a wool pad for removal of sanding marks on fresh paint. It does, however, work extremely well with both wool and foam pads for routine severe defect correction, or with a foam pad on a DA for moderately heavy defect removal. It is also a paintable, or "body shop safe" product.
M205 Ultra Finishing Polish is, as it's name implies, a finishing polish. Using very fine SMAT abrasives and polishing oils, it will remove light holograms that can be caused by the M105 compounding step. It can be used at low speeds on a rotary for final finish work prior to waxing, or with a DA for the same purpose. It can also be used via rotary with a polishing pad for light defect removal, but this is probably the least common use for it. It is also a paintable, or "body shop safe" product.
D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound was developed in very close association with the DA Microfiber Cutting Disc and is designed specifically for use with that disc. It is not as aggressive as M105 and it is not designed for rotary use.
D301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax is essentially a cleaner wax that, when coupled with the DA Microfiber Finishing Disc, can remove any hazing imparted by the compounding step while laying down a protective coat of wax at the same time. Again, it was specifically engineered to work in harmony with the DA Microfiber Finishing Disc to provide the second step in a two step system that provides fast and safe defect removal with very fast drying, easy wipe off final wax.
