  • M07 necessary?

I tried using M07 on my hood after using M205 via G110v2. My paint is black, and pretty good condition. Applied TechWax 2.0 as LSP. It turned out great! Then I got curious...

I wash my car again, then clayed. I use M205 with finishing pad @ speed 3, no pressure. I already know my paint is clean. But this time...NO M07. After the application and removal of TechWax 2.0, I did NOT notice any difference in shine, gloss or depth of my paint.

Maybe M205 and TechWax 2.0 polishing oils, made up for M07's?

Clear coats and newer paints just arent going to respond as much to polishing oils. So a new clear coat will be least.

With some oils from the other products, you probably gave the paint all it could use.

M205 has a pretty decent amount of polishing oils in it already, as does NXT Tech Wax 2.0, so in combination they should do a fantastic job for you. We've always said that use of a pure polish like M07 is an optional step, and that becomes even more so when dealing with a modern clear coat and/or when using a polish wax like NXT.

On a clear coat finish that's in good shape, you'll probably notice more of a difference using M205 than you would with M07. This is due to the fine finishing abrasives in M205 and the level of clarity they can impart on the finish - something M07 can't do.

In my books polish like 07 is no longer required.

Simply too much effort with little result.

I switched to sealants instead, now that's something!

              M205 + TechWax 2.0 = Great Results!

For me, M07 is too much effort to get little added result on my clear coat.
