Re: Last Touch as Clay Lubricant?

diluted 1:1 means equal part what ever chemical to an equal part of water. Usually 16oz of last touch mixed with 16 oz of water is used for clay lube in your 32oz spray bottle

This is interesting. I always assumed LT DOES offer some protection (albeit not as good as say UQD), since it leaves "something" behind which makes the surface feel so slick.

I wouldn't mind hearing Mr Stoops' take on this...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Just because it leaves something behind that makes the paint feel slick doesn't necessarily mean that "something" offers any real protection. We make no claims about any protection with the product - just a bit of a gloss and slickness enhancement.

              Thanks for the clarification Mike.

does it have to be distilled water..

or can it be filtered drinking water that I get from the water store, or from the fridge?

You can dilute this or any of our dilutable Detailer Line products with ordinary tap water. Since none of these products should ever be allowed to self dry on the paint mineral deposits should not be an issue.

With APC/APC+/ SD....i usually use plain ole Vancouver water (tap water)
With LT 1:1, i usually grab a bottle of spring water to mix....usually about 10 cents a bottle of 500 ml water

Good to know, I've been doing this for years and just read a post the other day about someone using distilled water. Made me stop and think...
