I like to use UQW after a wash. If the car is just a little dusty, I'll use UQD instead of a wash and follow with UQW because it adds to the slickness and it only takes a few minutes. I guess UQD will remove waterspots as well but it doesn't leave the paint as slick as UQW, IMO.

The thing about using UQD as a clay lube is, I believe, it is too slippery and makes the clay less effective at pulling off the contaminants. Last Touch is also too slippery unless diluted.

Exactly. If I'm polishing and/or waxing, I love being able to use the bulk product as I work. Also, since LT doesn't have any hydrophobic polymers I don't feel as if I'm working against myself by taking them off again right after I put them on. It just gives me a nice slippery surface to work with. A bit silly, yes, but no one ever accused me of being sane

M135 would be the bulk equivalent of UQD (see "Last Touch vs. UQD" here: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...l=1#post472406).

Could have bought the M135, but the retailer here didn't have any in stock. Too bad, I like the idea of having a gallon although mirror glaze version of Ultimate Quik Detailer. UQD leaves a darker, and what feels like a tougher layer of protection.

^ this. I keep M135 in the car to use when out and leave the LT at home. The bottle is bigger

I have both LT and UQD. I have to say, LT leaves a very slick finish dare I say slicker at first than UQD, but that slickness doesn't last that long.. UQD seems a bit tacky at first, but after curing, it does have slickness AND a bit of protection that definitely lasts a few carwashes..

I've just gotten my Last Touch.

gonna use it with 1:1 ratio for surface prep as well as clay bar lubricant.

The closest i got to using M135 is using ultimate quik detailer. I like Last touch, gives decent slickness but ultimately has to bow down to UQD for ease of use and the depth that UQD gives. Last touch does streak a bit, but mainly due to the way i use it. With UQD, it almost immediately gives a slick, even finish, and that hydrophopbic polymer does give it an edge over LT. Having said that, last touch also gives a great finish and i've been using it regularly ever since i got it some time ago.

Hard to beat the value and cost effectiveness of Last touch though.

I buy both by the gallon and find that I like the versatility of LT in that it makes a good clay lube(1:1) as well as a pretty darn good waterless wash(FS) when needed. OTOH, I love M135 in its ease of use, cleaning ability and resulting gloss. I think M135 is a bit slicker and easier to wipe off streak free. In either case, I almost always like to follow up with UQW (D156).

In my most recent purchase of M135 I find that some particles are coming out of solution and leaving small clumps which result in clogging up my sprayers. Agitation does not redissolve them. My first show of the season starts up this Tuesday, May 1st and I was getting the car ready when I discovered the clumps so I'll need to chat with customer service about that. Now that I think about it, I was having similar clogging of the sprayers on some UQD bottles in the past as well. I seem to have these issues after storing the product for the winter. The products are kept in my lower level at 55-60 degrees so the temperature should't be the cause. It seems like, from my experience, the product doesn't like to sit idle for several months.

M135 likes: I prefer the M135 and it's water repellant nature, its ease of use and its gloss.
M135 dislikes: I don't like the clumping and clogging of the sprayers.

LT likes: This is a versatile QD and has good cleaning ability. Makes a great clay lube as well.
LT dislikes: It is not as slick as M135 and application and removal is not as easy and it occasionally streaks.

I use M135 and Last Touch. If I want to enhance water beading its 135 but for all purpose dusting LT it is. I can't bring myself to use LT for claying though, I just make a fresh bottle of Super Soap/water.

I have not used Last Touch yet.

I have a ton of detail spray right now....

1 Gallon CG Acryllic Detail Spray (can dilute 50/50 for detail spray use)
1 Gallon CG P40 Detail Spray
32 oz of Showroom FX Detail Spray
4 oz left of FK 425
32 oz of TW ICE Synthetic Spray

I LOVED UQD, but wont be buying more quick detailer until I use up what I have, and when I need more I'm going to be going with a gallon of Last Touch after what I hear about it.

I like to put a little bit of UQD behind the ears on Friday nights. Saturday - Thursday it's Last Touch.

To be honest, I just picked up a gallon of Last Touch 5 minutes ago. I'm going to clay my truck today. I usually only use UQD after I wash my vehicle to touch things up. Likely I'll be switching to Last Touch all together because it's more affordable in bulk and has the versatility for claying.

I had to ask for a discount just to get a gallon for $40 CDN, they wanted $50 (still... ouch). It was either this, or order from the U.S.A.. The sites I tried ordering from said they could not ship the gallon jug. Oh well... it's still much less money than UQD for me.

I think you're using them the wrong way around.

I believe UQD should be applied to a dry surface. Last Touch is best for drying, dusting, cleaning. UQD is best for that Friday night bling. Apply in the morning to give it time to cure by the evening.
