Re: Streaks with glass cleaner concentrate...
I’m a dedicated terry towel user then it comes to cleaning glass. I have several good terry towels that I only use for glass and wash them separate.
I’ll use a towel for cleaning and another for a final wipe down and I always have great results.
BTW, I love the glass cleaner concentrate and wouldn’t buy anything else... unless.... NXT was sold in bulk.....

It is a good combo but the water magnet will tend to dry the glass dry so you might have to mist on some fresh glass cleaner for the final wipe, not a lot, just a misting of the surface.
) and it worked great, but it is my perception (or illusion?) that Ultimate Wipes and similars worked even better for me.
P.S. Did I already mention how much I like Ultimate Wipes?

Re: Streaks with glass cleaner concentrate...
I use those glass towels from ADS. I use the...grippy? side of the towel to make my initial wipe and then flip it over to the smooth side and buff the glass. 0 streaks since I bought those towels and use this method.

I kept having streaking and similar behavior with almost any glass cleaner I used regardless of the manufacturer or model and regardless of how many towels I used as long as I used "regular" microfiber towels, or even "glass microfiber" towels.
However, once I changed approach to using "rough waffle weave"-like towel for "removal of dirt pass" and "very short weave" microfiber, like Ultimate ones are, for "cut through streak/haze pass" results are quick and perfect. So perfect that I sometimes think window is down when it is up and vice versa. Now I have to leave windows dirty on purpose so I don't end up leaving the car with windows down.

Have you tried using 2 towels instead of one?Originally posted by Mike Phillips View PostThe idea here being to remove most of the gunk and the glass cleaner with the first microfiber and then do the final wiping with a non-contaminated microfiber..
I just described my process since I didn't know how to put it in that way

Re: Streaks with glass cleaner concentrate...
I use to have the same problem. But since I went to the 2 towel method streaking is a thing of the past. Good luck, Nick.

We typed this up somewhere else of the forum but not sure how to do a search for it so we'll try to type it up again.
When trying to wipe glass clean, you're trying to get whatever it is you want off the glass onto the microfiber, that is you want the gunk, vinyl haze, smoke, dust, fingerprints etc on the glass to transfer onto the fibers of the microfiber polishing cloth. The glass cleaner acts as a solvent to dissolve and loosen the grip these substances have on the glass so they can transfer to the microfiber.
When you first start out you cloth is clean, but as you use it to remove the majority of the the glass cleaner and the gunk, the most of this combination does get onto your cloth.
At this point you need to quit using this cloth because all your going to do is to continue to re-introduce this stuff to the surface of the glass which shows up to your eyes as smears.
You want to use a clean, dry microfiber for your final wiping cloth because that way it will only be adsorbing and absorbing and hopefully not transferring already removed gunk back onto the glass.
Actually you don't want 2 microfiber, you want as many as it takes to enable you to remove the most of the gunk on single glass pane and and then enough clean microfiber polishing cloths to make your final wipes which are wipes which are clean and dry.
Smears on glass show up very easily to our eyes, a most microfiber or any other type of cloth that has any kind of contaminated liquid on it is likely to leave trace residues of this liquid on whatever it touches, so that's why after you have removed the most of the loosened gunk and film off the glass its' time to get that microfiber out of the action and switch to a clean, dry microfiber.
Make sense?
Our Glass Cleaner Concentrate is an outstanding product, just like our NXT Glass Cleaner, so lets try to tweak your technique and see if we can't see you through to success.

Re: Streaks with glass cleaner concentrate...
I have found that if the towel(s) you use are contaminated with wax, polish or anything else...things that can remain even after washing, your windows will streak when you try to clean them.

Re: Streaks with glass cleaner concentrate...
No I haven't. But I will give that a shot.
I don't know why, but I get horrible streaks when I use this product. If no one else has the same problem, then it must be in my application method.
