  • Meguiar's Waterless System

Where can I purchase the Meguiar's Waterless 3 Step System? I do not see it listed on the Meguiar's website and when I Google it I only get results from Australia. I'm not looking for the Quick Detail Spray and Chamois but the actual 'Waterless' Products.

Alex/Mike correct me if I'm wrong the Waterless system is just the Meguiars Body Duster, Last Touch RTU with 2 x Supreme Microfiber. Not really a waterless wash just a QD. It also states on the packaging if heavily soiled use conventional washing method.

Correct mostly. Don't know the exact forumula for the mist and wipe product but it's supposed to be similar to Last Touch.

Some people think of a Waterless Wash System as a wash solution you add to a bucket of water and then you wash the car using only the water in this bucket and dry the soap solution off the vehicle as you work around the car.

There is another type or catagory of waterless washing and that's using mist & wipe products to wet the paint and thus the dirt on the paint and then wiping both the mist & wipe product along with the dirt off the car.

        Same idea but different approaches.

          Re: Meguiar's Waterless System

I asked this same question back in February so take a look at the thread below you will find some answers to some of your question. This is becoming a bigger issue for me as where I am in Nor Cal I am looking a at mandatory 19% reduction in water usage but my ride still needs to stay clean.

There are lots of options out there you just need to think things thru and find what works for you.

Here is how I understand them to be defined, as well as the product from each that I use:

"Waterless Wash" seems to be classified as a QD with extra ingredients in it so it is safer to use on dustier cars.
--Obsessive Detail Waterless Wash + Carnauba

"No Rinse" is where you mix the product in a bucket of water, wash, and then dry the section you just cleaned. Also, I believe there is no actual soap in these since you are not rinsing it off (I know there isn't in ONR anyways).
            --Optimum No Rinse

              Re: Meguiar's Waterless System

i have tried a variety of products. for a waterless car wash i like the freedom waterless car wash and for the no rinse car wash i like the optimum no rinse. the freedom waterless car wash is for a quick wipe down about every 3-4 days. the no rinse wash is for locations where water restrictions are becoming tight. with the no rinse i mix up a solution a bit stronger in a 2 gallon sprayer and presoak the car with it then proceed to wash the car with a 2 bucket system like normal. instead of rinsing you will go straight to drying. both products have their advantages and disadvantages.
