Mike's suggestions make a huge difference when using DACP with the PC. Concentrating on a small area and pressing down on the head of the PC make all the difference. I run my PC wide open (6+) and it works even better. If you run it wide open, hang on! It feels like it's going to spin our out of control at that setting. Some have suggested the 6" counterweight for the higher speeds as it lessens the vibration that you feel. However, that is a subject of much debate.

Mike is the only one to sugest pushing down on the PC while using #83. David Bynon has a good article on using the PC on BetterCarCare.com. However, he suggests letting the PC do the work and not pressing down. But I think he is referring to the use of other products like Menzerna and possibly MPPC.

To me using the #83 with the PC is a slow process and I only do a section of my car on any one day. It would take hours to do a whole vehicle with that setup, but the results are great. Since I have a new car in most cases a less aggressive product will suffice, such as #80 or maybe MPPC.

        Mike hit it perfectly...

        PC speed UP

        Detailer's movement speed SLOW

        Work area SMALL

I would also suggest starting with a small amount (two lines in a circle around the pad), and gradually add more if you think there isn't enough. Too much is a bad thing, the pad starts to clog, and you can accidentally lay down a layer on your paint that is as hard as armor, a REAL P.I.T.A. to take off (DAWN won't even phase it)...trust me, I know.

Once you get the hang of the PC and DACP though...WOW

I just tried #9 on my red truck's hood. There were many swirls left over from a body shop that replaced the hood. The #9 reduced the swirls by maybe 50%. Would DACP be the next step up? or maybe 80?

            Hey,

Meg's #80 Speed Glaze would be the next step. If that does not work, move up to #83 DACP.

Good luck and keep us posted!
