    Re: Ultimate Protectant

I waited so long for this product to be released on my local stores. In the process, I purchased three bottles of Gold Class Trim Detailer for $4.99 each. It's a great product, and must have for the exterior plastics and window seals.

It might have been too cold when you applied it as temperatures much below 50F can cause some unusual behaviors with different products. It might also be that your pillars and window trim are too hard and non porous and therefore not a great match for the product. UP does work best on textured vinyl surfaces rather than the harder, smoother surfaces.

Another thing to consider: we have seen some instances where another polymer product, including UQW and, to a lesser degree, UQD, having been previously applied can can sometimes cause an issue. More so with the UQW because it is surprisingly tenacious. Talk about a spray wax that really sticks around!

see i am having a problem with UP, i put it on the pillars in between the doors and on my trim around my windows and whenever it rained or like today snowed it streaked off and got on my car and windows and sometimes when i put it on it streaks, before applying UP i cleaned with #40 and i have #39 ordered and on the way, why do you think this happened?, i was told that it might have been to cold outside when i put UP on so it didnt set up right or do u think the areas werent cleaned well enough before i out on my UP or both??

Based on the tests that Meguiar's did while developing the product, you'll be waiting a long time. The pictures posted of the cladding on a Jeep Grand Cherokee looked stunning after more than 2 months.

I bought the U.P. and new UIQD. Applied the UP to my truck's trim. So far looks good. The only concern I have is that I think you have to use quite a bit of product to get the look you want. Very thick consistency, nothing like ASD.

Does anybody here live in Las Vegas (Nevada) and bought UP on a local store? I have looked in WalMarts, Targets, AutoZones, PepBoys, Checkers and local detail shops, and have no luck on finding UP.

Same here. It's already almost Feb yet none of the stores here in Tracy have any new 2010 products except for GC plus.

Oh well, I might snap and just end up ordering off ADS or something lol
