With this in mind, we tuned it to perform great for hand application, and yes remove a good amount of swirls & fine scratches, and in addition provide some major added gloss, especially noticeable on a dark color. If the paint has heavy swirls or scratches & you are looking to make the paint absolutely perfect by hand or with your D/A Polisher, again some of our other products, i.e. Ultimate Compound/Ultimate Polish would be a more suitable way to go. There are generally not major/any disadvantages to using different line(s) of product for the preparation work on the paint.

Pretty much everything leaves oils behind which would interfere. That is why they all want a prep wipe before applying a coating.

Nick could this be used with either of the two products I mentioned earlier?

Nick Winn, is it safe for use on PPF?

Hi Jakub, we do not have any products with defect removal capability which we officially recommend for use on paint protection film. Have technicians or detailers used products with cleaning ability on paint protection film with varying levels of success, yes, but it's not something we have anything designed or tested for.

You would not want to use Hybrid Ceramic Paint Prep prior to Hybrid Paint Coating, as HCPP contains protection ability to provide a foundation layer for Hybrid Ceramic Wax Spray or Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. Regarding use prior to M27, that would be OK but best results prior to applying M27 would be using a finishing polish and/or using M122 Surface Prep Spray.

Thanks Nick. We successfully use M210 for restoring PPF. After let's say 2 years, we find very useful to buff the PPF with M210 on yellow foam pad (DFP5) and then apply a fresh coat of M27. When using Hybrid Ceramic products for mainenance this combo creates a perfect hydrophobic coat on top of PPF which you can rely on for a long time.

I was thinking about swapping from M210 to G2204 which could be used for removing those water stains and slight haze that we usually see on top of PPF after some time and creating a foundation layer for the M27 at the same time.

I know that defect removal is not what we are dealing with when taking care of PPF, but the cleaning ability + the foundation layer might be a really interesting part of the job that this product is gonna do.

I have two questions about preping for M27.

                    1. POLISH. What's the best polish to use prior to application? Will the oils in something like Ultimate Polish reduce the durability of the sealant? Is it best to use a prep-wash to apply to bare paint?

                    2. LSP. Can M27 be applied over another LSP, or will that reduce durability?

                    Thanking you in advance.

                      Hi Alfisti,

Whichever polish you prefer really, something like Ultimate Polish, or M210 Ultra Pro Finishing Polish would be great. It is not required to remove the oils from the polish prior to application, but it will provide best results - We would recommend using a product like our M122 Surface Prep Spray.

Would just recommend using M27 by itself, but certainly not going to hurt anything to apply over something else. Would be best to use on it's own for maximum ability to adhere to paint & water beading characteristics.

How long paint protection would last if Hybrid Ceramic Pre-Wax Prep is used alone ?

                            Is this discontinued??
I have used this twice now, both times got great results. Followed right after with Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax. It's a really good otc product.
Hope it didn't get axed already.

So bringing up again, can't seem to find this anywhere now. Is this product dropped??

I do have a suggestion, whenever a product gets the boot, when your allowed, have a thread catagory on here to list which products are going. That way any members here that like it can grab it up while they still see it places before it's all gone. I am sure there have been a few products members wish they had stock of.... Wash+ is one.

I think Buddy has a good idea. If possible, maybe give us Meguiars fanatics a heads up on what is going away. I’m currently trying to stock up on a few tins of M26 paste wax. It’s not on Meguiars direct and hard to get elsewhere. M26 liquid is everywhere. Easy to get.
