The seats (front and back) are the most comfortable seats I have ever put my behind into, better than than the Lexus! The wife even agrees.

There is a button on the side of each set back that will move the seat forward and back for easier access to the back.

You have the power to merge into traffic and the handling to avoid bad situations.

BTW - did I mention great sound!

    I could go on

    Cheers!

P.S. The G-100 is on order

The exhaust note is even better than that of the WS6 TA!

The ability to merge into traffic and handling for all situations is huge! I can merge onto the interstate easily and don't have to worry about semis running me over. To me it is the ultimate road warrior!

You are preaching to the choir my friend. I drove an 04 last year, and I was blown away with the performance. I got on the interstate, and by the time I was getting ready to shift out of 3rd gear the car was blazing at 100 mph. It didn't even feel like the car was moving. The car is very comfortable, and it is built around the driver. The fit and finish of the interior is as a good as many more expensive brands. It is a sweet ride.

I am going to wait and see. Maybe, I can get a deal towards the end of the year on one. I passed up an 04 last November with a sweet deal because I wanted the 6.0. Plus, the car that I was looking at had a huge paint chip on a quarter panel and some scratches from debris from Hurrican Ivan.

What kind of gas mileage are you guys who have one getting? Which transmission do you have? I would like a 6 speed, but if I got one, I think that I would have to compromise for my wife and get the auto. She couldn't drive the 6 speed if she had too.

Automatic here. The dealer only had two and they both were automatic. Of course the wife would not have been able to drive a standard, hmm might be a good thing

City driving we are getting 17 MPG. Highway is in the low 20's. Need to take a road trip to calculate it exactly

I get 16 driving in city traffic 30 MPH average speed. The TA got 18 MPG because it was lighter, and had 3.23 vs. 3.46 gears. I like the 3.46 in the GTO better for city driving. Also the LS1 was tuned for more low RPM torque than the TA engine was.

The auto is actually a little bit quicker than the 6 speed. The 6 speed may have an advantage above 100MPH. I would prefer the auto if you have to do much city driving. The 460LE is an excellent transmission! GM's own specs give a 4.6 second 0-60 time for the auto vs. 4.8 for the M6. 400HP!............................got to get that out of my mind.

Love those quad exhausts! You'll want to get the engine edited in the future. :-) Trust me, it will be well worth it. I have a Holden Commodore SS which has the LS1. After editing it was like a totally different car. An edited LS2 would be absolutely awesome.

Hey 3d, check out ls1tech.com, plenty of upgrade choices in the forums for the ls2. Nice ride, I do like the gold flake in the paint. Maybe when the T/A is in need of new paint I'll have to consider that.

                            Thanks for the comments

Since the first pics I did another detail but used clay this time. What a difference!

No performance mods yet but I did add more power. Installed two amps and a complete set of speakers. Even installed sound damping material throughout the car. Took all weekend but was worth. Also had the windows tinted, a must out here in Texas.

Black interiors are what gets hot! But the GTO has an awesome A/C system! It was built for use in the Australian outback.
