1993 Ford Van never been washed, restored by Meguiars!

My father in law isn't what you would call a person that takes care of things. His wife drives this van, and so far as we can come up with, they have had it over a decade and never washed it, no auto car washes, nothing.

So I wanted to see what a half hour by hand with Meguiars could do to the most damaged paint that I personally know of.

"Washed" it with quick detailer (red bottle) and a couple dish rags. Clay rubbed it with Meguiars clay kit. Hand rubbed it with Meguiars Ultimate Compound 2 times. Then hand rubbed it with Meguiars Ultimate Polish 2 times. Then went with 2 coats of Meguiars High Tech yellow about 10 minutes apart. Within moments of that I followed with 2 applications of Meguiars Ultimate quick detailer.

This hood was then re-photographed in the same location. Freaking amazing! I can't believe that in less than 30 minutes I took what I really thought would be un restorable paint and made it look very presentable. Very presentable!

You better sit down, this is going to floor you!


This Meguiars stuff is just amazing. I love having this company at my disposal to take my pay checks and give me fantastic products in return. God bless the USA, and Meguiars!

I would like to get this thing to my house for some Porter Cable love. I also have some of the level 7 rated Meguiars compound with diminishing abrasives that could cut into this better.

My mother in law came to the drive to look at it and asked if I could make the entire van look this way. That would be one heck of a project, and one that I don't want to do. But I may.
