wow cartandpeg
that's a great job!
I haven't had the same success as you did by hand as I used the same products.
Altho UC did remove some swirls and scratches but it wasn't up to my expectations.
I guess cartandeng had the better technique since we used the same products.
Just wondering, does temperature have anything to do with the effectiveness of UC?
Out of those two, I would definitely go for the kit from Car Care Products.
The DAS6 DA polisher is a far more well known brand than the other one. The Menzerna polishes are, again, far more reputable than the polishes in the other kit (which TBH I haven't heard of - not to say they're no good.)
I would probably get the Lake Country Pads as well, since for your case, I don't think you'll be needing MF pads - unless you plan to correct some other (pretty neglected) cars as well?

I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

As Murr said, it's probably more to do with the fact that you were both working on entirely different vehicles / paints.
If you care to post some more info, with pics (probably in a new thread) about the condition of your car, what you've done so far, your results and what you hope to achieve, then I'm sure you'll receive plenty of guidance to help you fix any issues.

Thanks Guys,
C8N,not a problem,I too, often search to see if I can find a post with something simular or the same as what I want to ask,my paint work was maybe half way there in respect to how it finished up looking.
As I have only had the car for three weeks, so the car yard would have given the paint work some form of buff up prior to me getting the car, though I am happy with finished job,I still feel it could be better, hence the reason for going for a polisher.
I am afraid I can not offer any advice as I just washed the car, clay bar and the got into it with the UC,rubbed into paint in small sections and buffed straight off with mf.
Good luck with your quest,I have found these guys on this site very very helpfull as I would imagine everyone here has been at stages we are at.
Thanks again Murr for your help and advice,Davey you ripper thanks mate,I was in two minds which one to get and just needed someone to tick the box for me as the car care kit was what I was leaning towards, though when I go to some OZ detailing sites, most are saying the concours kit,but read posts a couple of yrs old and everyone is saying get the newer das6 pro one.
The specs are much the same on these polishers I think the conours is 880 watt and the das6 pro is 850 watt so much of a muchness, appreciate the input on that one Davey, was hoping you would jump in about those polishers.
Just be aware that with DA's, power is not the most important thing (though still matters to some extent). It's the orbit which does the work.
I noticed the Concourse polisher had an 8mm orbit (which is pretty good), but didn't see an orbit for the DAS6. If you can research that, perhaps that will also help your decision. Having said that, reliability, warranty, comfort and price are also influencing factors.
Good luck!

Thanks Davey orbit size is 8mm link to page specs on bottom of page if this is ok, we should be good to go?
I suppose its a toss up between the das and the conours, with the das it is a bit cheaper so I was thinking of spending the xtra few $ saved, on some APC and some 3m tape.Plus the das has been around for awhile.
