Saleen Explorer?!?!

Sure enough! We got a call to detail a Saleen Explorer. I didnt know these exsisted. I was disappointed not to find a supercharger on it and only a 4.0 engine.

Pretty neat all the same though.

hey superior shine,

If my automotive knowledge is correct, I believe saleen did offer a v8 with a supercharger. This was a option. If you ordered your explorer with a v6 you got the v6 saleen, but if you ordered it with the v8 you got the supercharged v8 saleen.

Very cool... I didn't know they made those either and they make them about 30 minutes away from my seated location!

They are going to be making a SVT SportTrac for 06' though!

I did a little research and found out that saleen recieved some v6 explorers from ford by mistake. To return the fords would have been too expensive so saleen dressed them up and sold them as XP6. They are performance wise basicly a stock v6 explorer.

The supercharged v8s and know as XP8.

Too bad they were discontinued.....they were good looking when they were in production. Now obviousley they are hard to come by let alone getting a saleen kit for your explorer is like finding Atlantis.
