  • 2008 S550 Detailed

Today I had the pleasure of detailing a Merc S550. I just love this car. So elegant and neato.
As you can see it was parked on a lawn, jk, and got water spots all over it. I don't think they washed it since the last time I detailed it 2 months ago. lol.
So my dentist wanted to clean it all up before his mom got home from vaca.

Here you can see the spots and dirt stuck to it.

The Rims are all filthy and the barrels need some attention too.

After removing the dirt you can see the micro marring and scratches from the local "Wash-n-Scratch"

With a bright light I can identify the actual defects in the paint.

As you can see all the Scotches and water spotting was removed with a maroon pad, 205 and NXT.

No that's not a mirror it's the paint restored to "better then factory condition"

The rims were all cleaned up thanks to Wheel Brightener and shinned with X-press wax. See the shine in the barrel?

    Here's a nice reflection shot.

You used a burgundy cutting pad with M205?

Nice job! My uncle used to refer to his Mercuries (he was a Mercury man and owned several) as his "Merc". Everytime I see that word now I'm thinking "someone still drives a Mercury?" It always turns out to be a Mercedes instead.

            Good photos and defect correction.

That sounds a bit odd to us as well.

To the OP - can you confirm your process for us please?
