    Just completed this truck yesterday.

Started at around 4:30am since the client did not drop it off until late at night. This left me with just one day as he needed it back later in the evening.

No engine, no paint correction, just a cleaning was all time would allow for.

The truck got slammed up against a building a couple years ago, drivers side was left with a horrible repaint and I mean horrible, its gray more than it is black. At least the interior was in so so shape.

    Setting up for wash prep/degreasing:

Finally bought some IronX, have a white X3 tomorrow and will be the true test.

    Before:

    Wash/prep:

    Pressure wash.
Bed degreased with Purple Power & Dawn.
Tires, wells, mats, & wheels soaked in 3D Orange Degreaser.
Foamed/washed with NXT Generation Car Wash.
    IronX decontamination, followed by clay.
    Foam/washed again with NXT.

    During:

    After all prep stages complete.

    Interior:

    Vac/dry brush/vac.
Leather/vinyl cleaned with 3D Orange Degreaser & hot water mix.
Carpets shampooed with 3D Carpet Shampoo.
Leather/vinyl protected with Quik Interior Detailer.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
    Jambs washed with ONR.

    Before:

    After:

Like I stated before, the exterior drivers side was destroyed and looked terrible under the sun. The paint was bone dry though and I am sure I ate through the body shop miracle glaze that was filling the finish.

ONR wash to remove all the dust.
Polished/waxed with Optimum Poli Seal via PCXP & 5" MF disc.
    Tires/wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing 2:1.

    After:

Nicely done Nick! The truck looks dark and glossy!

How many microfiber towels do you typically use in an average truck?

What do you think of IronX? Do you think it's worth the price? Does it really decontaminate the paint and make clay an easier process? I'm looking forward to your white X3 detail especially the bleeding pics.

You were limited by time but you still managed to leave the truck in good shape, Nick.

I guess we're all waiting for your feedback on IronX.

Hello Tuck nice job once again. Just wondering what you put in your garden sprayer and do you
use it for doing door jambs?

            Another great job Nick.
I too look foward for you right up on the IronX.

I had a paint decontamination on a 2009 white Venza that took me forever the other night, I'm looking for something faster !

              Re: 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD

              Thanks all. I appreciate it.

Just finished prepping a white X3 and was finally able to put IronX to the test.

This stuff is the real deal, I have fallen in love with this product. I wish I had it for every white vehicle I have ever done. It does in minutes what clay would take hours to do. I have some really nice bleeding pics of the paint/wheels.

I have to get up around 5am and clean the interior as it is trashed. I am expecting to spend just 4-5 hrs on it. Then apply some Poli Seal or M66 with the PC.

I will start another thread later and discuss more.

^^ Looking forward to your show off thread! So when you spray IronX, that section doesn't require claying anymore?

Truck looks great. Quick question, would the use of a degreaser on the leather interior degrade it of its protective oils?
