  • Explorer, Corvette interior, Concorde

    2010 Ford Explorer.

I had washed this truck once or twice in the past year or so & this time the client went with an actual detail.

Pretty good shape overall, just some light fallout on the paint & a couple stains on the interior.

    Before:

There were about six of these light stains scattered throughout the interior, some larger than others.

    Interior:

    Vac/dry brush/vac.
Vinyl & leather cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner & hot water.
Vinyl & leather dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.
Carpet spot shampooed with 3D Carpet Shampoo.
Floor mats pressure washed & shampooed with 3D Carpet Shampoo.
    Door/trunk jambs cleaned with ONR.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.

    During:

    After:

The engine bay was washed with ONR & left to dry then dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.

    Exterior:

Foamed & washed with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner.
Clayed with Meguiars blue clay & ONR.
All painted undersides stripped of tar & gunk with Tarminator.
Waxed/sealed with D301 Finishing Wax via PCXP.
    Tires/wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing 1:1.

    During:

    2001 Corvette.

Went out there originally to take care of the wife's X5 but she had already decided to wait until later in the week until it stopped raining.

I had a few hours until my next appointment so she had me detail the interior of here Corvette.

It was not too bad but it had not been vacummed in over a year & debris was builing up in all the seat racks, underneath the seats etc.

Pretty much the same process as the Explorer, for the most part.

    Only afters:

    2002 Chrysler Concorde.

Client was passing the car onto her daughter and wanted it cleaned up.

Not in that bad of shape for a ten year old car, had a few spots of rust on the exterior though.

    Door/trunk jambs cleaned with ONR.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.

    After:

Like I stated before, the exterior was not in too bad of shape but had some moderate marring & a few spots of rust.

Great work. The Concorde is still is very good shape for a 10 years old car.

Great results every time, as usual.

When you vac/dry brush/vac, do you use the brush attachment for the DA, or brush by hand? I just bought the white 'standard' brush from Autogeek and I want to make the most of carpet cleaning, when shampooing isn't required.

                    Thanks all!

Dave, I still struggle with engines from time to time and I am not much of a good teacher anyways, LOL.

Tornado, I use a regular white handled black bristled brush by hand.
