Wow, great Job! That color really pops now.

Have anyone used UC + yellow pad via G110v2 to remove water spots on the windshield and glass?

Great work, Tim. In those sun shots. You can really see the depth and clarity in the paint. The reflections are fantastic. Once again, great job. Way to go.

Great job Tim!!! You brought that paint to another level. What was the owner's reaction?

I love the detailed pics you post. It really shows the work you put into that car.

Doesn't get any better when a red or black vehicle is done up right, just like you've displayed. Nice job

That looks really, really good Tim. Your attention to detail is top-notch.

It's amazing how much difference a true pro can make to a car that otherwise looked "pretty good" from 10 feet.

Detailed: SuperCharged Mini Cooper - Chili Red

This is a garage queen. Owner seldom drives it therefore defects were not severe (so I thought ).

    Here's the car upon arrival.

    Sweet lil car!

    A pillar - minor holograms

Same happened to the other side

    Hard water spots on hood

    Holograms on passenger side

    More on driver side

    Rear Quarter

Minor issue - residue on the intake vents

    Its hologram-o-rama!!

Common thing happening here. Told me its normal to see this after the car has been polished.

The vehicle has decals (faux carbon) on the front and the roof. There were polish/wax residue on the borders. Hard to take them out.

Here's a closeup - the decals were textured (Di Noc wraps? Not so sure what they called nowadays)

Residue all along the from decals. Tough to remove.

Detail work were more onto major exterior work and minor work on engine and interior.

Here are some snippets taken during exterior work.

    Clay from body

    Clay from glass.

Test spot from the hood. After much experimenting, best combo was G220+M105+Cut Pad and finished with M205+Yellow Pad.

Front Hood - swirls and scratches - before

    After - much better

Just to check to ensure no micromarring and holograming. LED and camera flash - will definitely shows defects.

Rear Bumper Top Portion - 5050 shot - single application of M205+Yellow Pad.

After - much better. Managed to remove swirls but RIDS still exist.

    Before Rear Quarter Passenger Side

    After - Swirls no more!

Again, this is how it used to look like.

After - not 100% defect free but much better then before? Definitely yes.

    Process were:

Paint Degreased - Meguairs Super D via foam cannon
Washed 2BM with Hyperwash - Meguiars Washmitt
Meguiars APC+ for nooks and crannies.
    Rinsed using PW
    Dried with Meguiars Water Magnet
Clayed using Meguairs Blue & ONR as lube
    Meguairs Brown Tape (3/4")
    G220 + Kevin Brown Method
Meguairs Cutting Pad 6.5 and 4"
Meguiars Yellow Polishing Pad 6.5 and 4"
    M105
    M205
    IPA (50:50)
LSP : Initial Plan - Swissvax Smaragd/BOS but after further evaluation on paint, opted for GlassCoating ;increase clear coat hardness and resistance towards wash marring.
Light source: LED and metal halide
    Paint Thickness Gauge - Defelsko
    Body Solvent and/or GooGone
Qtips for cleaning emblems, seals, nooks, etc
    ONR to neutralize

    Wheels:
    Sonax Full Effect to clean
    Super Degreaser on tires
    APC+ on wheel wells.
    LSP - Meguiars #16
    M40 on Tires

    Engine:
    ONR wipedown
M40 on plastic & rubber components
Eimann Fabrik Acrylic Shield on painted surfaces.

Windscreen (front and rear) were full of waterspots - though it had some kind of coating on it.

Rear windscreen - minor water spots.

    After

Front Windscreen was just awful - lots of water spots.

Tried to do a 5050 on glass. Cleaned it up pretty good.

G220+M205+Yellow Pad - Managed to take the spots easily.
Gtechniq G4 to remove any remaining residue
    IPA wipedown
Sealed with Gtechniq G1. Love this this!!!!
IPA on wiper blades- took around 20 Qtips to get it clean.

The front headlights and rear lights were also in need for some defect removal.

50/50 shot on the front headlights

    Single hit of M205+Yellow Pad+G220

After - much better then before.

    Before- Eyelids

    After

    Before - rear lights

    After - Rear Lights

After 20hours+ of exterior work, here are the sun shots.

    Under Garage Light

    No more waterspots.

Now this is what you call Chili Red! Uber Gloss!
