  • Jeep Liberty

Just did a pretty basic detail on my moms Jeep today. I used mostly all consumer line of products (gold class wash, clay kit, nxt 2.0 wax paste, tire foam, supreme shine interior detailer) and used two mirror glaze products (#26 paste and #40 vinyl and rubber cleaner) Only non meguiars product used was that invisible glass stuff. Sorry for the huge pictures, I cropped them in kodak easyshare editer but after uploading on tinypic, they're huge again.

    Before:

Being that she never washes the car or takes it to a car wash, there are no swirls in the paint! Just filty even after a wash.

    After:

I had to be careful buffing the scuffs off of the plastic because it was starting to get shiny. (Note the camera made it excessive shiny but in person it isn't standing out like that.)

So that's the scuffing you were asking about in the other thread. That's a tricky fix all right, but as long as the area isn't as shiny in person as it is in the picture, then you did good.

The rest of the Jeep looks great - nice Mother's Day gift you gave this year!!!

Looks good, I'm sure mother loved it. There's a lot of plastic trim on that Jeep begging for Ultimate Protectant.

Thanks guys! Yea that was the fender/bumper area needing some fixing. When I got home this evening, I walked over to check the fender to see how it looked and you can barely tell there was a scuff there (except for some of the deep scratches)

Nice detail. My wife had a 2004 Black Jeep Liberty Sport. It had the same plastic like yours. Hers was scuffed as well. I never messed with it much to try to remove it but I did keep it looking nice. We always drove it around in the snow/ice being as it was the only thing we had that was 4 wheel drive. The scuff was from one of those incidents in a Wal-Mart parking lot. People don't know how to handle the snow/ice in Oklahoma. Can't blame them when we get it only 2 or 3 times a year. Keeping it clean helped hide it though.
