  • Work Truck Maintenence - 2005 F-250 FX4, 2 F-350s, F-450 XL, F-7000

I detailed all of these work trucks back in March. Most of them were cleaned with #66 and sealed with #20. The owner called me back out to wash them, and maintain them a bit.

First up was a 2005 Ford F-250. Washed with Ultimate Wash and Wax and a Meguiars Wash mitt, fenders and other areas were treated with Body Solvent. Paint and wheels were sealed with #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer

Wheels, tires, and wells were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner and various brushes, tires/wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing at 2:1. Glass was wiped clean with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.

2006 Ford F-350, pretty dirty but nothing that cant be cleaned. Was washed carefully yet effectively. This was actually swirl-free. Sun shots to follow.

Washed wheels, tires, and wells with Super Degreaser and various brushes.

Washed the truck with Ultimate Wash and Wax and a Meguiars wash mitt, the paint was sealed with #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer, tires and wells recieved Hot Shine Tire Foam, glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1

Who says you cannot have a swirl free work truck???

2003, Ford F-450 XL. Same condition as the previous trucks...

Washed with Ultimate Wash and Wax and a Meguiars wash mitt. Wheel. tires, and wells cleaned with Super Degreaser and various brushes. Tires/wells dressed with All Season Dressing.

1999 Ford F-350, pretty much the same process as above. I rinsed down the trailer and dressed the tires as well.

F-7000 dump truck. Washed with Ultimate Wash and Wax and a Meguiars Wash mitt. Wheels and tires were washed with Super Degreaser and various brushes. The paint and bedside was sealed with #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer. Tires and wells were dressed with All Season Dressing. Glass was cleaned inside and out with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1. Mudflaps dressed with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner

    Heres how it looked before:

I must say one thing that i really enjoy in your work is the way your tires come out....don't know why but that always stands out for me, even though you use different products. Nice!

Fantastic work as always. It would be a joy to work in those clean trucks.

Thank you aris. I dont think I did? Some of the trucks look very similar and you may have gotten them mixed up. Or maybe I did but just did not realize it.

On the one truck you said you used the HOT SHINE TIRE FOAM and on the rest of the trucks you said you used ALL SEASON DRESSING

Okay, I see what your saying LOL! I thought you meant I applied different tire dressings to one individual truck LOL!

I used the Hot Shine Tire Foam on one of the trucks because I have six cans of it and I am trying to use it all up. Plus I like the slight cleaning ability in Hot Shine Tire Foam.

Figured its a good product and should be put to use.

I should also point out that the All Season Dressing is a little too expensive to use all the time, LOL.

Nick, you cost me A LOT of money. Every time I view one of your detailing jobs with links, I discover a new product I want to buy. I currently have an order in for about $500 worth of product and now I want more.

Thanks again for product links. I know it requires a bit of time and effort.

Great job. I bet they are already dirty again. ;-)

p.s. I had to laugh at the detailed tires on the trailer. Likely you inspired them to repaint the wheels and wheel wells.

                        Thank you Bill!

I hope the product links help. I will most likely be doing them once a month so they should not get too bad.

Every single truck was beading very strongly as well, the M20 has been holding up great so far.

Nick, you have to get the owner to pave his parking lot.

I know your joking. That being said...

not in a million years. They are a landscaping company. Those trucks likely don't see a day without mud. That's a huge lot, it would cost a fortune to pave. Likely they'd use a product that they work with on a daily basis and do the labor themselves. It looks like there are a few loads of crush sitting in the lot. Likely they are just filling to ruts as needed. It should pack down nice in a few years.

Yeah, the before shots are what the trucks looked like on a "good day"

Sometimes the roof even gets muddy. And Bill is right, that would cost a huge fortune to pave.
