Thanks Richard, I just got back from the alignment shop, now it has the M7 springs and koni struts with the camber plates and rear arms. Rides good the struts are a bit stiff but in a good way.

I've been thinking doing M7 springs as well. Did you install them yourself and get it aligned, or did you have the shop do it all? I've got a neighbor with a spring compressor--he's a BMW service guy at Santa Monica BMW--I'm just imagining my MINI sitting on jackstands for a day,

While I know you haven't had the springs long, is it a noticeable improvement (ride quality---not drop)?

I would bet the ride would be super nice with stock struts. I did mine myself, its not that hard. I spent about 3 - 3.5 hours doing the rear sway bar, all 4 struts/springs, plates etc, that also included installing a strut tower brace. You dont need a spring compressor its not hard. I did it solo...no help whatsoever and it didnt take too long. I could probably do a set of springs in under 2 hours start to finish.

Now for the alignment, you will want to get the ajustable arms for the rear since the camber can be way off, mine was at roughly -3.0 degrees we pulled it back to -1.5 for the rear and -1.0 on the front. Without the rear arms you are stuck with whatever camber is there when you add the springs.

I can get you a good deal on any h-sport stuff you need.

Wow that's impressive. Thanks for the tips on the adjustable arms. Hmm I'm going to have to investigate that. Thanks for the offer for helping on the HSport stuff as well

                nice!

my Dad used to drive one of these Mini Coopers... right now its just in the garage gathering dust. I've been meaning to restore it to its former glory...

now that i've seen one again, it definitely drives me to get started on my project that's been waiting for 5 years...

Looking good Deltman. Painted skirts look a whole lot better. I very nearly bought a Cooper S myself, now i've seen yours kinda wish I had.
