  • Headlight Lens Restoral on this older cat by Innovative Detailing

Headlight Lens Restoral performed correctly by Innovative Detailing on a 2000 Jaguar S Type. This cat was going blind from yellowed, hazed and dull lights resulting in poor night visibility, safety issue and ugly asthetic appearance. Options are replaceing which can cost lots of money when restoral is a fraction of the cost.

    Before Headlight lens restoral

    After Headlight lens restoral

Headlight lens restoral prep and tape

    Headlight lens restoral Step 1

    Headlight lens restoral Step 2

    Headlight lens restoral Step 3

    Headlight lens restoral Step 4

    Headlight lens restoral Step 5

    Headlight lens restoral Step 6

Headlight lens restoral Step 7 LSP and completed

This cats eyes are clear again

    Thank you for viewing.......

Good luck. I don't think he is going to tell you anything regarding the sandpaper or product used. As shown in his video, it is "secret sauce".

                Sure.......

I use 3M paper, Imperial and Trizact and the pads are also 3M, cutting, polishing and finishing. Tools I use Blue Point (Snap On), as for product there are so many to choose from, I like what I use the best......But experiment for yourself and try different manufacturers products to see what gives you the best results. I think the M105 - M205 combo should work just fine!

                  Great work on the headlights!

This process is exactly what we recommend with our new Professional Highlight and Spot Repair Kit. While you need an air compressor to run the mini tools (D/A and rotary) as shown here by David or the tools in our kit, you can use the hand pad that comes in our kit for the sanding and then use a rotary with 4" pads for the final buffing. All of the pads, sanding discs and finishing discs in our kit will be available separately if you don't need/want the mini air tools.
